The history

Although the current use of the building is as a pub and restaurant, the Blue Boars history dates back just over 300 years ago. The origins of the building starts off as a house and business front for a New Foundland merchant back in 1764. What is now the main bar was used as the main business room where the merchant would sign contracts and have meetings, the Cellar bar was used to store the goods the merchant was importing and exporting, the Function room was used as the main Living quarters for the merchant and his family, and the owners accommodation was used as servants quarters

Within our main dining area we have availabilities for up to 6 seated on one table and for larger gatherings we have a function room on the first floor and an underground Cellar bar for parties.
